A Saturday Well Spent
I spent most of the day in just looking at art in the galleries and streets of Chelsea Art District. I have to start taking extreme advantage that I live a couple of blocks away, there's great art, it's free and I'd be able to network during opening receptions. I took about a zillion pictures but here are a few I really liked.

Hue Tint Color Shade
Hue Tint Color Shade is an exhibition designed by the students in the fi rst year of the Visual Presentation and Exhibition Design program at FIT. The students explored the topic of color as a selling tool and ways in which it aff ects and provokes consumer response. Student teams of two were assigned a pantone color and an accessory item and asked to research the meaning, psychology and cultural in fluences related
to their color before conceptualizing a design for a display using a mannequin. In addition, each display was required to creatively incorporate three words relative to the concept and the color.
Inviting all those able to take themselves away into a world of fantasy to see an exhibit @ FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) . It represents the works of all the students in the first year Visual Presentation and Exhibition Design major and really showcases some unbelievable craftsmanship. Everyone was split into teams of two and assigned a color. We had to choose an accessory in that color and the mannequin would be designed in shades of that color to support the accessory. My team-mate Ekaterina Nor and I (Keiry Benitez) got the color Brown and our accessory was Hand Felted wool scarf complements of www.VitalTemptation.etsy.com; The exhibit will be up for 3 weeks 3/29 - 4/23 at F.I.T
