Art Of Video Games

The latest talk abouts of Artomatic, arts and current exhibitions has been topped by the most recent buzz at the Smithsonian American Art Museum.  The Art of Video Games is special exhibition being currently known as the first exhibitions to explore the evolution, artistic medium, visual effects and the creative usage of video games and technology.  This exhibition showcases a variety of 80 video games and explanations of why they are unique, but also includes interviews with the geniuses and awesome creators of video games. Also including humorous footage of people’s faces made while playing video games. The exhibition also gives the visitors the opportunity to interact with games including Pac-Man and Super Mario.

The exhibition focuses on the relationship of graphics, technology and storytelling through some of the best gaming systems. With the help of the public 80 games where selected to be exhibited through images and videos. The voting took place sometime between February and April in 2011. Words through the grapevine were that more than 3 million votes were made by hundred thousands of people from more than 100 countries! The games were selected based on a variety of criteria, visual effects, and the creative use of new technologies. This is a fun and exciting exhibition for gamers. Not to mention that it is also a reminder of how much the Nintendo 64 was loved and great childhood reminiscences.
